Sites You Never Knew You Needed: Part 1
So this whole World Wide Web thing is pretty mind boggling when you really think about it… Is there anything you can’t get via the internet? Probably not, but the problem is finding it. Well, while most people spend their free time aka bored at work stalking people via Facebook, sifting through pictures and junk emails, I on the other hand spend a lot of it just wandering the internet. It’s an adventure like no other, with anything from nakedness to scams to spyware to useful to random to funny lurking around every corner.
My adventures have brought me to many amazing and unique sites. Too many to rattle off here, especially with the wide range of relative usefulness to you as a reader. However there are a few that are worth passing along that fit into that realm of useful to the masses. In no particular order:

Ordering something online? clothes? pizza? electronics?
Next time you’re about to purchase something online, why not check out RetailMeNot.com. Simply punch in the web address of the site you plan on shopping at and check out what coupons they have. While you’re not gonna find a $100 off a new PS3, you might find some handy little savers for your regular or random purchases. Check it out!

Ok, so maybe this one is not as useful to the broader demographic, but with returning to academia after taking a break for a few years, I was amazed at the reliability and general existence of this site. If you’re not going to school currently, just check it out to see what was said about your old professors. If you’re a professor/teacher yourself check it out to see what your students think of you…. if you dare.
