Beyonce & Lady Gaga – Videophone (video)
So I saw this world premier video on VH1 yesterday and while I like the general concept of the song, it is my humble opinion that the video is utter crap. I fear that Beyonce has reached a point where she is beginning to let stardom go to her head. She is at that Kanye West point where she feels she can do no wrong… but that’s just my opinion. After getting into a heated hour plus argument 2 weekend’s ago about Beyonce’s singing, I realize that many of you are simply blinded by the hype and will probably love anything that Beyonce puts out including this video, much like a videogame fanboy.
For those of you wondering what the argument was about: I and some others, simply (and correctly, might I add) stated that Beyonce, while having an amazing voice and talent, does not have the vocal range of other current artist(though they don’t share her success). 
With alcohol involved, the opposing side dove head first into screaming irrational arguments. Anyone who knows me, knows I don’t back down in an argument, especially when I’m so clearly right and it so happened that the opposing side not only took a completely uninformed stance on the matter, but also a condescending one. In the end, me and my backers gave in and stopped fighting the good fight, only because of the utter ridiculousness the other side began to spew, which made it clear this was no longer an intelligent argument worth fighting.
Our main points backing my stance during the argument:
Beyonce can not belt like Alicia Keys
Beyonce does not have the range or ability to switch tones on a dime like Christina Aguillera
Beyonce is great at what she does(staying inside of her box) almost untouchable, but let’s not confuse that with her being the end all of end alls.
How anyone can argue against this is beyond me… but during this argument we were called every name in the book… and told we knew nothing about singing… lol… I’m still cracking up about this…

recently I could have been part of a similar argument but i realize that sometimes its not worth the time or energy. often people become totally illogical and blinded because of the frequency of appearances in media, forgetting that success does not always equal talent.
@D-Train… don’t even get me started, you are opening up a whole new can of worms with that statement…
