Assassin’s Creed 2: The verdict is in… is it?
So Assassin’s Creed 2 is out and I’m torn. I bought the first one because I consider myself an original gamer and when so many people say a game is a must play, I will buy it (hence Demon Souls, which I love immensely and hate even more). While I understood why people were very impressed by the first one, it just wasn’t my thing and the repetitive and boring missions leading up to the good stuff became unbearable. I quickly traded it in and never looked back.
Now I find myself in the same predicament. The graphics look amazing and the reviews say it all(including that it is not as repetitive as the first), but the sour taste the first one left in my mouth is still quite strong and I simply can’t afford to risk 60 bucks on this new one.
In the end I think I’ll wait for a price drop and then cop it used. If this is your thing, check out the always detailed review at psxextreme.com, one of my few highly trusted reviewers. I know it’s not good business to send your traffic elsewhere (especially when they do what they do much better than you) but hey it’s all love and they don’t cover movies and talk about what Hannah Storm is wearing, so I think I’m safe.
