So good old ABC is up to their old tricks teasing us with four episodes of their new series, which won’t be back until March 2010. Knowing ABC’s track record, who knows if it will be back at all?
After faithfully watching all four episodes, I remain torn but I am leaning towards becoming a fan. The writers still seem to be in the dark as to what is a proper intense situation and/or cliffhanger, but all in all there is enough good mixed in with the bad to keep this Sci-Fi geek interested. However, those feelings might change by March, especially with Caprica starting up in January.
In the final episode of this year, we find out absolutely nothing except that V most likely seems to be taking the A-Team and original X-files approach. Conquer one situation per episode in a stand alone-ish manner. Example: Warehouse is V stronghold, lets blow it up. Which isn’t that bad because one, if memory serves me correctly that is how the original series played out and two it’s a bit refreshing for a prime time drama to shy away from the drawn out cliffhanger saga. Note that this is only my assumption.
I kinda lied before and for all you complaining that we learned the V’s are doing genetic testing, treating humans like guinea pigs, I don’t feel like that’s anything shocking enough to be surprised about. Truthfully the more I try to write about this, the more bored I get… maybe there is no hope for V, but if you haven’t seen it, check it out for yourself on ABC.com and you be the judge…
